Christmas 2005

The population of Gingatopia had a lovely Christmas this year, as we usually do, surrounded by our friends and family.
Christmas day was spent with both sets of [grand]parents, we enjoyed time with Deb and Kev in Macclesfield and welcomed the Osborne/Bradbury and Harris clans to our hose to help us celebrate Christmas.
Obviously, the holiday was filled with many memorable occasions, but the one which most vividly stickas in my feeble memory, was a conversation the the family had with Evelyn on Christmas Day evening at Nana Gee and Poppy's...
"What do Squirrels eat, Evelyn?", Kieran asked.
"Nutsch!", replied Evelyn.
"What do elephants eat, Evelyn?", asked Daddy.
"Bunz!", replied Evelyn.
"What does Daddy eat, Evelyn?", asked Mummy, anticipating the reply, "Pies!"
"SHIT!", replied Evelyn.
Charming! And a Merry Christmas to you too, Evelyn!"

BEITH nee Fortune Chris and Bernie are pleased to announce the safe arrival of Rose Emily, on December 19, 2005, weighing 7lbs 15oz. Many thanks to all concerned.
Everyone in Gingatopia sends their love and best wishes to Bernie, Chris and Liddle baby Rose. I'm sure it's only a matter of time before Jilly has organised a Gingatopian outing to Slawit! I [really, genuinely] can't wait.
Grandpa B's Birthday

Today saw further birthday celebrations in Gingatopia. Grandpa B [known to Evelyn, now, as Pappy!] joined us, along with Nana Gee, for a traditional slap-up Gingatopian birthday curry party...HUZZAH! Good fun was had by all, and there was much rejoicing!
Apparently, the blog police [you know who you are!] demand that I make some reference to my updating my blog retrospectively! Pah! The observant among you may have noticed that I posted this blog today [19 December 2005], but dated it as the 3rd of December. It was Ben's birthday on the third, and I haven't had time to post the entry before today. Is this a crime?
Oh... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... apparently it is!
