Our Special Liddle Girl

After two or three weeks of practically dry nights' sleep, Evelyn went to bed, last night, without her pull-ups on and Jilly and I are delighted to report that Evelyn stayed completely dry throughout the whole night, and into the morning. FANTASTIC!

As Evelyn's feet seem to be growing, along with the rest of her, at an alarming rate, Jilly and I decided that Evie needs some new shoes. Having discussed her show requirements with Charlotte at her new nursery, Evelyn has decided that she needs some "dart [dark] red" shoes, so Jilly and I took Evelyn into town, this morning, for some new shoes.

It didn't take Evelyn long to choose her favourite pair and we were soon leaving the shoe shop with Evelyn proudly exhibiting her shoes by staggering in front of her push chair, holding the legs of her trousers pulled up to just above her knees. Crazy Girl!

We also bought Evelyn some new nitters [knickers] today as, like her shoes, she seems to be growing out of those too. How could we ever have guessed that, having arrived home with her new nitters, Evelyn would demand to unpack them all [all fourteen pairs], lay them all out carefully on the living room floor, displaying them for the world to see, and then continue to carry them around with her for the rest of the day.

By the time it came to Evelyn going to bed, Jilly and I had hoped that Evelyn would have become tired of them but, oh no! Thrilled by the Disney Princesses on one pack of her nitters, Evelyn was determined that all her nitters had to be laid out on her bed and even made reference to how she was going to have to, "...move this nitter...it's in the wrong place!", before finally releasing them as she fell to sleep.

Of course, then I was reminded that Jilly used to sleep in the new shoes she was bought so it's clear where that particular peculiarity comes from, can't we, Jilly?

I think you'll find a love of new shoes is something to be proud of!!!!

Also, can I just point out that there were only 10 pairs of nitters(2 x packs of 5) It's a good job someone does the counting in this house isn't it?
